Abstract

Banyuwangi is one of the central developments of oranges in the East Java region with characteristics that are sweet and slightly acidic so that they have a fresh taste.These factors make oranges from Banyuwangi attractive to many consumers both locally and nationally.The problem of central citrus cultivation is when entering the harvest period because at that time the price of citrus fruit tends to be low, besides that the supply of citrus fruits also cannot run sustainably while market demand always comes every time.Therefore technology manipulation is needed to be able to produce citrus fruits throughout the year, in accordance with the taste of the market and have excellent quality. The technology is Bujangseta technology (Fruit tiered throughout the year) that is being developed by Balitjestro Malang. Community service activities will be held from May - October 2018 in Gambiran District - Banyuwangi Regency.This activity began with an analysis of community needs, counseling and training as well as cross-border technology assistance by making a demonstration plot for the application of technology accompanied by a proposal team. Bujangseta technology combines several combinations of cultivation treatments which include management of orange canopies through pruning, management of induction through dense flowering and application of paclobutrazol, nutrition management and management of pests and diseases. 100 percent of program activities have been carried out according to plan. The whole series of community service activities ranging from needs analysis to institutional strengthening of farmers so that technology transfer can be easily accepted by all citrus companies in the Gambiran District.
