PENINGKATAN KINERJA ALAT PENYANGRAI KOPI TYPE PEMANAS ELEMEN KE TYPE INFRA RED GAS BURNER TERKONEKSI LAPTOP

Abstrak

This research aims to (1) understand the effectiveness of the use of the roasters type of heating tools elements on the activities of coffee roasted, (2) Knowing the effectiveness of the use of roasters type infra red gas burner equipment connected to the laptop on the activities of coffee roasted, (3) To know the effectiveness of differences between the use of tools roasters type heater element and type Infra red gas burner connected laptop on the activity of coffee roasted. This research method uses samples as much as 500 gr in each of the roasters tools with 2 kinds of coffee coffee (arabica and robusta), each type of coffee is roasted by using a tool roasters type heating element and type infra red gas burner connected laptop using 3 different coffee samples and repeated 3 times. Research increased performance tool roasters coffee type heating element to type infrared gas burner laptop connected can be concluded: (1) Effectiveness of the use of the fastest Penyangraian time to roasting arabica coffee is on the use of roasters type infra red gas burner that is 10.04 – 10.45 minutes/roasted 500 grams of coffee beans compared to use a tool roasters type heater element that takes longer time IE 32.38 – 33.30 minutes/roasted, (2) Effectiveness of the use of the fastest roated time to roasting robusta coffee is on the use of roasters type infra red gas burner that is 9.83 – 10.11 minutes/roasted 500 grams of coffee beans compared to use a tool roasters type heater element that takes longer time IE 30.96 – 31.31 minutes/roasted, (3) Efficiency of electricity consumption for the tool type roasters type Infra Red gas burner connected laptop requires only 175 watts of power and elpiji gas consumption weighing 0.05 kg per once the process is compared with the heating type of elements that require the power of 175 watts and 1600 watts for the heater elements. Research performance enhancement tool roasters type heating element to the type of infra red gas-connected burner laptop can be advised for further research in order to be upgraded in accordance with the development of technology and roasted methods of coffee, between another study next can be continued with the use of a tool roasters coffee type Infra red gas burner connected laptop that has been automatically programmatic for the timing and temperature settings desired
