RANCANG BANGUN ALAT STERILISASI BAGLOG SISTEM UAP AIR PADA JAMUR TIRAM PUTIH (Pleurotus ostreatus)

Abstract

The stages of making oyster mushroom baglog are media mixing, compaction, sterilization, inoculation and incubation. Sterilization stage plays an important role in the process of making baglog mushrooms so that baglog does not occur contamination with other fungi, fungi and bacteria. The objectives of this study are: (1) Designing a baglog sterilizer for water vapor system on white oyster mushrooms, (2) Arranging (SOP) operation of baglog sterilizer for water vapor system for white oyster mushrooms. and (3) Comparing the time needed to sterilize the baglog vapor system of white oyster mushrooms. The study was conducted at Kumbung Mushroom Plant Protection Laboratory in July-December 2019 with PNBP State Polytechnic Jember funding. The research method uses the method of comparing capacity and length of time to sterilize baglog after assembly design and construction of the SOP for the operation of the tool. The results showed that 1. Total time needed for sterilization with a capacity of 80 baglogs of oyster mushrooms is 3 hours, 4 hours faster than ordinary sterilization (drums), 2. SOP of the baglog sterilization system of water vapor systems on white oyster mushrooms can be used to operational standard of the tool. The benefits of the results of this study can be recommended as a Baglog Sterilization Tool for the Water Steam System in the White Oyster Mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus) at the practical activities of the State Polytechnic Students in Jember, research and community service
