Optimalisasi Alih Fungsi Gulma Sebagai Antiviral Tobacco Mosaic Virus (TMV) Tanaman Cabai

Abstract

Tobacco Mosaic Virus (TMV) is one of the viral genes of tobamo virus, which has a wide and optimal range of hosts that grow high-value crops. Efforts to control the disease that began to be developed is the use of antiviral. Antiviral that can be applied to control the disease caused by the virus. Weeds are herbs that contain allelopathic compounds and other natural ingredients that can be used as antivirals. The availability of quite a lot and inhibited plant growth can be converted to make antivirus production. The purpose of this research is to know the effect of using some weed species as antiviral in disease control of tobacco mosaic virus (TMV). The result of this research is antiviral application of weed extract before inoculation able to support virus incubation period in chilli plant. Weed extracts that are applied because antiviral still can not overcome the spread of disease still acts as a systemic resistance inhibitor. This is seen with the presence of intensias disease around 40-55%.
