About the Journal

Jurnal Pengembangan Potensi Laboratorium (EISSN 2828-5204) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by Politeknik Negeri Jember. The journal provides a platform for lecturers, researchers, academics, practitioners, Educational Laboratory Personnel (Pranata Laboratorium Pendidikan/PLP), and laboratory technicians to publish research results, scientific studies, and innovations related to laboratory management, laboratory technology, and laboratory-based development.

The journal publishes original research articles, surveys, evaluative studies, and methodological developments related to educational, research, and testing laboratories. The scope of publications includes laboratory method development and validation, improvement of laboratory instruments and testing equipment, development of reference materials (CRM, IRM, and PUP in accordance with ISO/IEC 17043), laboratory management and quality systems, occupational health and safety (OHS) and laboratory waste management, utilization of local materials for efficient and environmentally friendly laboratory practices, laboratory digitalization, and the design and development of laboratory instruments and technologies.

Jurnal Pengembangan Potensi Laboratorium is accredited at SINTA 5 and is published regularly twice a year, in February and August.

Starting from Vol. 5 No. 2 (August 2026), Jurnal Pengembangan Potensi Laboratorium (JPPL) adopts a new article template (download), and all submitted manuscripts must be written in English.
