Socialization of Online Tuition Recording in SMK Telkom Medan to Increase Financial Statements’ Relevance

Abstract

Dawuhan Mangli Village is one of villages the center of Jember batik production. The batik products produced have been marketed into several online platforms and penetrated international markets. Currently the number of batik continues to increase along with the increase in the number of consumers. The use of synthetic dyes in the batik coloring process also experienced a significant increase. Based on the assistance provided by the LPPM University of Jember, it was found that a number of batik makers and family members suffered from shortness of breath and itching. In addition to health problems, dye waste that is disposed of without being processed first can also cause problems for the environment in the form of pollution that can damage plants around the waste disposal site and odors that cause discomfort. This activity will be carried out through several stages of activities, including providing education, training and assistance to batik groups. Empowerment of batik must be followed by an understanding of batik against the risks of using synthetic dyes. In addition to increasing understanding, training efforts also need to be carried out to empower the community to consistently use natural materials as batik dyes. Thus, the risks to health and the environment can be reduced.
