Regular monitoring of blood glucose levels is crucial in the management of diabetes mellitus. However, conventional invasive methods often cause pain, discomfort, and low patient adherence. This study presents the development of a non-invasive blood glucose monitoring system based on the Internet of Things (IoT), utilizing the MAX30102 optical sensor. The system comprises a PPG sensor, an ESP32 microcontroller, and integration with a cloud platform for real-time monitoring. PPG signals are processed using a simple estimation model to determine glucose levels. Simulation results show good estimation accuracy, with a correlation coefficient (R²) of 0.92 and an average absolute error below 5%. The system also provides a more comfortable user experience compared to traditional methods. With potential for wearable integration, this system shows promise as an efficient and user-friendly blood glucose monitoring solution.
