Publication Ethics

Jurnal Ilmu Peternakan Terapan is a peer-reviewed journal which upholds the standards of academic publication ethics and against publication malpractices including plagiarisms. It is therefore important to agree the proper ethical behavior for scientific journals publication of all parties (the authors, editors, peer reviewers, and the publishers) to develop conducive scientific environment and to avoid certain problems that may arise due to some conflict of interests.

1. Authors

Authors have to certify that the manuscript must be authentic, not a plagiarism manuscript from the previous research articles, have never been published previously in any scientific publisher, are not being submitted and will not be submitted for any other publishers during the review process, unless the author has officially withdrawn the manuscript from the Jurnal Ilmu Peternakan Terapan. Authors have to follow the author guideline of Jurnal Ilmu Peternakan Terapan.

2. Editor

Editors have full responsibility and authority to reject/accept a manuscript. Editor should guarantee the quality of the papers published in Jurnal Ilmu Peternakan Terapan, provide all information needed by authors to improve the publication, preserve the identity of reviewers, and objective and fair when conducting their duties without making any discrimination on gender, ethnic, religion, political view or geographical origin of the authors.

3. Peer Reviewers

Peer reviewers are requested to assist in improving the quality of the manuscript through an objective review process within a scheduled period of time, and to contribute to the decision-making process on the manuscript. If reviewers find any published or submitted content similar to that under review, the editor has to be informed. Peer reviewers should evaluate a manuscript solely on academic merits, in which if a conflict of interest is detected, it should be immediately notified to the editor. Peer reviewers should have no conflict of interest with respect to the research, the authors and/or the research funders. Any confidentiality of information supplied by the editor or author should be maintained.

4. Publishers

The integrity of the academic record during the whole process of publication should be maintained by authors, reviewers and editors. Economic orientation and business should be precluded from compromising intellectual.

5. Scientific Misconduct

Submitted manuscripts are screened for possible plagiarism or duplicate publication by Turnitin upon receipt by the journal. If plagiarism or duplicate publication is detected, the manuscripts may be rejected, and the incident will be announced in the Jurnal Ilmu Peternakan Terapan website. The statement must be stated in the author declaration form. The similarity check of the Jurnal Ilmu Peternakan Terapan is not more than 25% to prevent plagiarism allegations in the manuscript.

6. Conflict of Interest Statement

The corresponding author must inform the editor of any potential conflicts of interest that could influence the author's interpretation of the data. The potential conflicts of interest are financial support from or connections to companies, political pressure from interest groups, academically related issues, and any others. The author have to submit author declaration form attached in the website. In particular, all sources of funding applicable to the study should be explicitly stated.

7. Care and Use of Animals

author could submit ethical clearance (optional) if using animals in experiment. The editor or reviewers may request copy of the document to resolve the questions about ethical clearance approval and its related issues.
