International Journal of Healthcare and Information Technology (IJHITECH) (e-ISSN: 3025-6933) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal published by P3M Politeknik Negeri Jember, Indonesia. The journal provides a multidisciplinary platform for researchers, academicians, healthcare professionals, computer scientists, engineers, policymakers, and industry practitioners to disseminate high-quality research, scientific knowledge, innovation, and practical developments in healthcare, information technology, and interdisciplinary research connecting these two domains.
IJHITECH was initially published twice a year in January and July, from Volume 1, No. 1 through Volume 4, No. 1. Starting from Volume 4, No. 2, the journal adopts a four-issue annual publication schedule, with issues planned for January, April, July, and October, in line with the development of the journal and increasing demand for scientific publication. The change in publication frequency has been submitted to the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia (Perpustakaan Nasional Republik Indonesia) for updating the journal's ISSN publication data.
IJHITECH publishes original research articles, review articles, systematic reviews, short communications, case studies, technological innovations, and other scholarly contributions that advance scientific knowledge and innovation in healthcare and information technology. The journal welcomes research in healthcare and health sciences, including clinical practice, nursing, midwifery, pharmacy, public health, mental health, health promotion, disease prevention, patient care, healthcare services, healthcare interventions, complementary healthcare, and biomedical and health sciences. The journal also welcomes research in information technology, including information systems, software engineering, artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, information management, cybersecurity, Internet of Things, cloud computing, human-computer interaction, and emerging information technologies.
In addition, IJHITECH particularly encourages interdisciplinary research at the intersection of healthcare and information technology, including health informatics, clinical informatics, healthcare information systems, electronic health records, digital health, healthcare analytics, artificial intelligence in healthcare, clinical decision support, biomedical engineering, healthcare cybersecurity, connected healthcare, and other technology-enabled healthcare innovations. All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure scientific quality, originality, ethical integrity, and academic excellence.
Since 2026, IJHITECH has been accredited as SINTA 3 by the Directorate General of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, based on Decree No. 355/DST/D.D1/HM.01.01/2026 concerning the New Accreditation Ranking of Scientific Journals for Period III of 2025.
The journal is committed to maintaining high standards of publication ethics, editorial quality, and scientific excellence, while fostering multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary collaboration. IJHITECH aims to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and promote evidence-based advances, technological innovation, and meaningful integration between healthcare and information technology to contribute to the improvement of healthcare practice, information technology, healthcare services, health information management, and population health.
