This study explores environmental sustainability contents and sub-contents on company’s owned media across three different business sectors. A corpus-based content analysis on 226.275-token corpus shows that the business sectors selectively posted environmental sub-contents to their own media types such as social media and website. Although all environmental sustainability contents and sub-contents were present in this study, some sub-contents such as transport, waste and pollution, energy and renewable resources, water scarcity, natural resources and raw materials consumption, bio and eco technology, and green chemistry were communicated differently across business sectors depending on how their business operation impacted the environment. However, sub-contents related to gas emission, global warming, ecosystem preservation, and recycling upcycling were presented similarly pointing at one mutual goal. The message was consistent despite different owned media types although the message on social media was more general and selected. This study suggests corporate communication division consider contents and sub-contents of environmental sustainability in addressing the message to the public.
