Improving the MSMEs Production of Mega Cassava Chips in Sempolan Village Through business licensing NIB, PIRT, and HALAL certification

Mega Cassava Chip SME is a micro business in Sempolan Village, Silo District, Jember Regency, that has the potential to grow in the processed food sector. This SME has limited understanding and access to product legality, such as business license numbers (NIB), Home Industry Products (PIRT), and Halal certification, which are obstacles to increasing competitiveness. The community service activity aims to assist the Mega Cassava Chips SME in obtaining NIB, PIRT, and Halal certification licenses as an effort to increase consumer confidence and expand the marketing area. The implementation methods include socializing the importance of product legality, administrative assistance, and facilitating the submission of documents to relevant agencies. The results of the activity showed an increase in understanding of food legality procedures, the preparation of supporting documents, and the achievement of the field verification stage for the issuance of PIRT and Halal certification. This activity also contributed to a 20% increase in production and strengthened competitiveness. Moving forward, Mega Chip SMEs, through improvements in quality, safety, and consumer confidence in local products, are ready to enter broader markets and comply with applicable food safety standards and applicable
