Manuscript Type

J-Dinamika: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat accepts manuscripts reporting the implementation, evaluation, and outcomes of community service and community engagement activities. Submissions should demonstrate a clear connection between the application of scientific knowledge, technology, or practical expertise and the needs of the target community.

Manuscripts must present a clear description of the community context, problems addressed, objectives, implementation methods, activities undertaken, and outcomes achieved. Authors should provide relevant evidence of the results and explain the practical benefits, lessons learned, or potential sustainability of the activities.

The journal considers the following types of manuscripts:

1. Community Service Implementation Articles

Articles describing the planning and implementation of community service programs designed to address specific community needs or challenges. These manuscripts should explain the problems identified, program objectives, implementation stages, methods of engagement, activities conducted, and outcomes achieved.

Examples include community empowerment programs, training, counseling, mentoring, technical assistance, and collaborative initiatives involving higher education institutions, community organizations, government agencies, or other stakeholders.

2. Appropriate Technology Application and Innovation Articles

Articles reporting the development, adaptation, application, or transfer of appropriate technology and practical innovations to address community problems. Contributions may include agricultural technology, production equipment, information systems, digital applications, renewable energy solutions, waste processing technologies, and other technological interventions relevant to community needs.

Manuscripts should explain the technology or innovation applied, its suitability for the target community, the implementation process, and the benefits or performance demonstrated during its application.

3. Community Empowerment and Capacity-Building Articles

Articles documenting activities intended to strengthen community knowledge, skills, independence, participation, and institutional capacity. This category includes entrepreneurship development, vocational training, digital literacy, organizational strengthening, financial literacy, community-based education, and the development of local economic potential.

Authors should describe the target participants, capacity-building approach, implementation process, and evidence of changes in knowledge, skills, practices, or institutional capabilities, where applicable.

4. Community-Based Product and Business Development Articles

Articles presenting community service initiatives that support the development or improvement of products, production processes, business management, marketing strategies, packaging, quality assurance, and market access. This category includes initiatives involving micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), cooperatives, farmer groups, artisan communities, and other community-based enterprises.

Submissions should explain the intervention, its relevance to the needs of the target group, and the resulting improvements or documented benefits to product quality, productivity, business practices, or economic opportunities.

5. Community Health, Environmental, and Social Development Articles

Articles describing community service activities in health promotion, disease prevention, nutrition, sanitation, environmental protection, waste management, disaster preparedness, social inclusion, cultural preservation, and other initiatives that improve community well-being and resilience.

Manuscripts should identify the issues addressed, the intervention delivered, the participation of the target community, and the outcomes or practical lessons derived from the activity. Authors must observe applicable ethical requirements, particularly when activities involve personal data, identifiable individuals, health-related information, or vulnerable populations.

6. Community Service Program Evaluation Articles

Articles evaluating the implementation, effectiveness, achievements, challenges, or sustainability of community service programs. These manuscripts may present quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-method assessments of program outcomes, including changes in knowledge, skills, behavior, productivity, institutional capacity, or community conditions.

Evaluations must be clearly connected to an actual community service intervention and provide sufficient information about the evaluation methods, indicators, evidence collected, and interpretation of the findings. Research findings without a substantive community service component are outside the journal's scope.

7. Interdisciplinary and Collaborative Community Engagement Articles

Articles documenting collaborative community service initiatives that integrate expertise from multiple disciplines or involve partnerships among universities, industry, government, community organizations, and other stakeholders.

Contributions should demonstrate how interdisciplinary collaboration or stakeholder participation addresses community needs, supports the implementation of solutions, and contributes to practical outcomes or sustainable development.

Submissions Outside the Journal's Scope

J-Dinamika does not consider manuscripts consisting solely of theoretical discussions, literature reviews without a clear community service application, routine teaching activities without a documented community engagement component, or research reports that do not describe the implementation of a community service intervention.

The editorial team reserves the right to determine the suitability of each submission based on its relevance to the journal's focus, the nature of the reported activity, the quality of the documentation, and compliance with the journal's editorial policies. All eligible submissions are subject to editorial screening and peer review.
